Seacoast Parents Coping with Perinatal Loss is a group of local families who have lost or love someone who has lost a baby to miscarriage, still birth, or infant death.
They share support and fellowship in safe spaces for discussion about their feelings and their babies. The meetings also occasionally include guest speakers on appropriate topics for grieving families, or creative or artistic opportunities to express and experience personal growth.

How we connect
Private Facebook Group
Our private Facebook group is a great first step to take in your grief journey. The group is screened to ensure privacy. Members are restricted to local loss families and a few local professionals. You may choose to explore the group by just reading posts and learning from other members’ posts. If and when you feel ready, you are welcome to share your story, photos or ideas with the group, as well as ask for some extra support on those really hard days.
We also have a facebook group just for discussing issues around pregnancy after loss.
Support Group Meetings
Wentworth-Douglas Hospital Contracts with me to provide monthly support group meetings, You do not have to be a Wentworth Partners patient to take advantage of this generous support. You are welcome regardless of where you are a patient.
Monthly meetings are generally held the first Thursday of the month from 6:00 PM- 7:30 PM. In October, we always meet on October 15th to have a Remembrance Ceremony for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day.
Historically we have met at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, but due to covid we have been making other arrangements.
I think you will find our group to be welcoming, comforting and supportive. We have an amazing group of active and connected members.

Annual Remembrance Ceremony
OCTOBER 15TH is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.
We mark this date each year with a special ceremony sponsored by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
Families coping with all types of perinatal loss are invited to gather for support and community. There is opportunity to decorate a luminary bag in honor of your loss, followed by a lighting ceremony. Children are welcome and we have art and music therapists available to engage guests. There are snacks, favors, and time to connect with others.
This family friendly event will provide your family, close friends and loved ones an opportunity to commemorate your baby’s life and keep their memory alive, as well as show your support for other families going through similar pain.
